The 6041i is a true multi-fuel insert capable of burning PFI-certified premium hardwood pellets, shelled corn, soy beans, cherry pits, olive pits, biomass fuel grains, and processed pelletized silage. The control board has separate "Corn" (Cr) and "Pellet" (Pr) operating modes, accessed by pressing the Heat Range up and down arrows together for 3–4 seconds. The front-controlled manual damper lets you fine-tune combustion for each fuel type.

Yes. The 6041i is mobile home approved when installed with the required US Stove 69FAK fresh air kit (sold separately). Mobile home installations also require the unit to be permanently bolted to the floor, permanently grounded to the steel chassis, vertical chimney vent with wall supports, and a spark arrestor on the exhaust system. A fresh air kit is also recommended for newer, tightly built homes.

The 60-pound hopper provides up to 26 hours of burn time on wood pellets and up to 25 hours on corn when operated on the lowest heat setting. Burn time will shorten on higher heat settings. The hopper-fuel sensor will signal the control board when fuel is running low so you'll know it's time to refill.

The 6041i requires a "PL" rated pellet vent exhaust system (sold separately). It can be vented horizontally through an exterior wall or vertically up through the ceiling/roof — refer to the owner's manual for specific installation recommendations and clearance requirements. Installation materials, including the floor protector and vent pipe, are not included with the stove.

The standard 6041i ships with an infrared (IR) remote control that operates the stove through a sensor on the unit. Models with a "W" suffix add Wi-Fi capability and work with the USSC app for remote operation from your phone. The standard 6041i does not have Wi-Fi or smartphone control.

The burn pot should be emptied and cleaned before each ignition for the cleanest, most efficient startup, and should be inspected daily during continuous use. The included burn pot agitator helps reduce clinker buildup during operation, but routine cleaning of the burn pot, ash pan, and exhaust system is still required — cleaning frequency depends on fuel ash content (high-ash fuels like corn require more frequent cleaning).

Yes, but only a wired (hardwired) thermostat — the control board does not support wireless or smart thermostats. In T-Stat mode, the stove operates as a High/Low thermostat rather than ON/OFF: it runs on heat setting 1 when temperature is satisfied and ramps up to your selected heat setting when the thermostat calls for heat, meaning the stove never fully shuts off in this mode.

The 6041i is covered under the US Stove / King / Ashley Wood & Pellet Stoves warranty (full warranty terms available in the owner's documentation). The unit is also EPA certified, meeting stringent emissions requirements.
