Both. It heats 1,000 to 3,000 sq ft like a wood stove and it has a real oven and cooktop. The firebox is 18 x 15 1/8 x 22 1/2 in. and takes logs up to 22 in. (16 in. recommended).
Floor space. A side oven makes a cookstove 41 inches or wider. Stacking it keeps the Gemini-R at the footprint of a regular wood stove.
