Tee kit if the stove connects into the chimney through a wall thimble, since the tee gives you a clean-out at the base. Insert connector if the appliance connects straight up from its top, which is the usual insert setup.

How do I know if I need 25 or 35 feet?

Measure the flue from the top of the chimney down to where the appliance connects, then add a couple of feet of slack. Ordering short is the expensive mistake here.

Do I need to insulate the liner?

In most cases yes, and many jurisdictions require it. Insulation keeps flue gases hot, improves draft, cuts creosote, and is often needed to hold listed clearances in an exterior chimney.

What size liner do I need?

Match the liner to your appliance outlet. A 6" stove or insert takes a 6" liner. Going undersized chokes the draft and going oversized cools the flue gases and builds creosote faster.
